This is a difficult review... I don't want to knock the book for the stories, because the stories are great. However, nobody can easily read the book because the font is incredibly small and lightly printed. We must use a large, illuminated page magnifier to read it. No kid (or adult for that matter) wants to go through that hassle! I think the publisher is trying to save money and/or paper. Also, the stories (chapters) do not start in the traditional format as in on their own page, but instead will start in the middle of a page. In the picture, a regular book is on the left and this book is on the right. You can see the difference in font size and clarity and how a new story begins in the middle of a page.Kudos to Amazon for refunding the purchase!

Myths every child should know Mary Hamilton Frye 9781117462547 Books Reviews
This book has ten chapters of different mythsthe Chimaera, the golden touch,
the gorgon's head,the miraculous pitcher,the paradise of children,the cyclops,
the Argonauts, how Odin lost his eye,the quest of the hammer and the death of
balder. I liked all of the stories.
My favorite is,"The golden touch" which is the story of King Midas. King Midas has
everything but,he wants MORE!!! he wants everything he touches to turn to gold-
and it does!!!... be careful what you wish for.
This book is illustrated with fanciful line drawings by Colleen Browning.
This book is for children AND adults. This is a nice, easy book to read and enjoy.
I wish I could get the edition I had as child. They certainly are myths every child should know, but the illustrations enhance them.
Just beautiful. Takes me back to when l was a kid. (Still am-!).
If you are looking for light reading, I recommend this. You can read one myth or several. If you want to feel like you finished reading, but don't have time for a whole book, try these.
Love this book for kids. Great find for my collection. Lol
